Barbecue written by Robert O'Hara was produced by Illinois State University and premiered online April 22, 23, & 24. The production included Direction by Tyrone Phillips, Scenic Design by John C. Stark, Lighting Design by Ashley Parra and Henry Tran, and Sound Design by Jacob Self. This team changed over the year and a half long design process. This show was initially going to be viewed in person and on stage, then changed to a site-specific show, next to being filmed on stage, and finally in a remote performance through Zoom. These various pivots called for changes in all designs many times before we arrived at the show seen by all.
